Condominium Owner Information

Condominium Owners Only

Through the Mayor’s Office, the Town of Braintree is piloting an excess household trash disposal option that creates access to condominium owners to dispose of up to three, 65-gallon bags of trash, daily at the 257 Ivory Street Trash/Recycling Center.

To participate, an annual Trash Fee of $75 ($50 with proof of senior status) can be paid at the Treasurer’s Office, at Braintree Town Hall.  It is necessary to bring the Vehicle Registration for the car you will be using. A Registration Sticker will be issued that must be placed in the lower, front window of that vehicle…. alternate vehicles cannot be used with the Sticker. The Sticker also permits access to Sunset Lake Parking Lot, the Plain Street Compost Site to dispose of plants and miscellaneous yard waste and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Events.

As is the case with all residents with a Trash Sticker, you may purchase a One-Load Permit at the Town Hall, Treasurer’s Office at a cost of $30 (one-time use) to dispose of more than three bags of trash.  Included may be rugs cut into three-foot lengths, small furniture & small appliances.

Not accepted are: mattresses/box springs*, hazardous waste (see website for event dates), paint, TV’s, computer screens, construction material of any kind, windows, toilets or appliances in front of household.

• Local options include:  Green mattress (508) 488-6867 and HandUp Mattress Recycling (508) 863-6515. (Best to shop for mattresses and appliances where they accept return of the old items!)
