Through the collaboration of our members and community partners, the Partnership is involved in several initiatives that aim to decrease the impact of substance use disorders within the community. Some efforts include:
- Community-wide Opioid Overdose Prevention and Narcan trainings
- Braintree Substance Use Information Centers (located at Braintree Fire station, Police station ,Town Hall, Library, and South Shore Plaza) that offer the public information on substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.
- Awareness/Educational events, such as:
- Medication Safety - presentation for 2nd graders
- Hidden in Plain Sight - interactive presentation for parents/guardians and community members
- Risk of Injury and Rx Opioid Pain Reliever Misuse - presentation for high school student athletes and their parents/guardians
- Braintree Overdose Vigil - annual remembrance of those we have lost to substance use disorders
- Sharps Disposal Program, offered through the Braintree Health Department
- Medication Collection Disposal Program, operated by the Braintree Police Department
