For students in grades 6–12
Leadership Experiences & Community Impact
As a Youth Coalition member, you’ll have opportunities to build leadership skills while making a real difference in Braintree.
Throughout the year, members may:
- Earn Teen Mental Health First Aid certification
- Participate in State House advocacy visits and meet elected officials
- Attend leadership workshops and regional youth leadership events
- Explore community organizations through behind-the-scenes sector tours
- Present to community leaders, the School Committee, and other local organizations
- Apply for Youth Ambassador leadership roles, internships, or stipends (when available)
- Participate in national leadership opportunities for eligible high school students
Members also lead projects that create lasting impact by:
- Planning community events and service projects
- Designing prevention and wellness campaigns
- Creating resources for youth and families
- Sharing youth perspectives with community leaders
- Mentoring younger students
- Strengthening protective factors that help youth thrive
- Helping build a healthier, more connected Braintree

- Wellness campaigns

What Does the Year Look Like?

| February–April | 🏛 State House visits, advocacy experiences, leadership presentations, community tours |
| Spring | 🌎 Youth-led projects, Health Fair, community outreach, presentations, leadership opportunities |
| End of Year | 🎓 Celebration, recognition, certificates, and leadership awards |
Additional opportunities may include therapy dog visits, team-building events, tournaments, community socials, mentoring younger students, and regional or national leadership experiences.
2026 Fall Meeting Schedule
The Braintree Community Partnership Youth Leadership Coalition meets on Braintree Public Schools half-days, giving students extra time to connect, build leadership skills, and work on meaningful projects.
